MARCH 2016

An Interactive Group for WomenWolf

Facilitated by Kimball C. Pier, Ph.D., LMFT

Description – A soulful way to explore, discover, and ultimately embrace the change that calls you!

This group has been a healing and enriching way for women to explore and discover the power and beauty of their innate wisdom and intuitive knowing. Maybe you feel “stuck,” or as though you’re living someone else’s life and not your own; or maybe you feel you are at a crossroads, that some kind of change is in the wind, yet clarity is not yet discernable. Or perhaps you feel it’s time you stopped living a life of “shoulds,” to answer the call of your heart instead. This group will encourage you step onto the path of your heart and to re-connect with your wild nature. We follow the book “Women Who Run with the Wolves,” by Clarissa-Pinkola-Estes, Ph.D. How it works:

  • The group is limited to twelve participants
  • There are twelve sessions available, each lasting 90 minutes, each session designed to focus on two or three key points in the chapters of the book.
  • Books are available for purchase at the first session for $25. Or you may order your book online or at your local bookstore. Participants are given a chapter guide with questions to facilitate your exploration. At each gathering, group members share what the reading has uncovered. Outside of session, we journal, draw, paint or create however we need to in a way that expresses what emerges and share with the group if we feel called. Each gathering will include a brief meditation time at the beginning, followed by the group conversation, closing with some breath work (pranayama) and some restorative yoga postures intended to bring us into a place of stillness and rest.
  • Confidentiality: As a group, we make a commitment to honor the privacy and confidentiality of each member by keeping what is discussed in the group private.

  • Begins Saturday, March 12th from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., and ends Saturday, June 4th. Sessions will be held each Saturday excluding Easter weekend and Memorial Day weekend.

Attendance: “What if I can’t make it to every session?”

  • The best part of this group has always been the bonding and safety that among group members who hold the space for one another to speak openly, from their hearts, and to explore in a safe place. It is best when group members can participate in all sessions, however we will all have days we can’t make it. There will be a Facebook page created just for this group in order to facilitate communication outside of the meetings, and we will exchange email and phone numbers to remain connected and in touch about schedules. We just make a commitment to be present as much as we can for one another.

  • $300.00 for all 12 sessions, payable in advance, or $30 per session if paid by the session. Books are $25.00. Chapter guide is included at no cost.
